Archiving and Preservation Policy

1. Purpose
This policy ensures the long-term preservation, availability, and accessibility of all content published in NuCE Journal, safeguarding it against loss due to technical failure, discontinuation of the journal, or changes in publishing platform.

2. Digital Preservation Partners
NuCE Journal archives its full content (articles, supplementary materials, and metadata) with one or more recognized digital preservation services, such as:

  • An institutional repository (Balikpapan State Polytechnic's Data Center - repository.poltekba.ac.id)

3. Scope of Archiving

  • All published articles (final versions of record), including corrections, retractions, and erratum notices
  • Supplementary datasets and appendices, where applicable
  • Issue-level metadata (DOIs, author information, publication dates)

4. Archiving Timeline

  • Content is deposited with the archiving partner(s) within 30 days of publication.
  • Archives are updated continuously with each new issue.

5. Continuity of Access ("Dark Archive" / "Trigger Events")
In the event that NuCE Journal ceases publication, is not maintained, or its website becomes permanently inaccessible, archived content will be made freely available through the preservation listed above, ensuring uninterrupted access to the scholarly record.

6. Persistent Identifiers
Every article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to ensure permanent citability, regardless of changes to hosting or URL structure.
