PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN LIMBAH BUBUT BESI PADA KUAT TARIK BELAH DAN KUAT LENTUR BETON SERAT

Abstract
Iron lathe fiber is a lathe waste from lathe workshop that can be used as an additive to concrete. Iron lathe fiber can increase the splitting tensile strength and the flexural strength of concrete so this study is expected to obtain an increase in splitting tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete.
This study uses an experimental method, test objects are in 2 forms of cylinders and blocks with 3 variations of fiber addition, 0% as normal concrete, 10%, and 12% of the cement weight, each variation has 3 test objects with a total of 18 test objects. Concrete testing was conducted at the age of 28 days.
The results of splitting tensile strength test show that the addition of iron lathe to the weight of cement has increased in 0%, 10% and 12% variations with average of 7,259 MPa, 8,593 MPa, and 8,741. The average flexural strength values are 1,050 MPa, 1,200 MPa, 1,556 MPa, and 1,575 MPa at 0%, 10%, and 12% variations.
