Abstract

Water balance is a balance of input and output of water in a place for a certain period, so that it can be known the amount of water is surplus or deficit

The purpose of this study was to find out the discharge rate of the cafe’s clean water needs, the large operational costs of the use of cafes, and to know the ability of the storage between storage capacity and the need for clean water in the 3-storey Kafe building.

The analytical tools used are bestek images, data on the number of entrants and cafe employees, BPAB Balikpapan City customer data, and Data on Determining Clean Water Needs Capacity from Ditjen Cipta Karya Dinas PU 1996.

Based on the results of research conducted on 3-storey cafe buildings, it is known that the total clean water needs used in 1 day are 5587,50 liters/day, and the cost of used water to be paid in a month is Rp. 1.416.609, but from research results in capacity at 10:00 a.m. until 01:00 hrs, it was incapable because the volume of capacity increased by a difference of 1456.25 liters.
