Abstract

This study aims to determine the employee's knowledge of occupational safety and health in the Balikpapan-Samarinda Section 4. Toll Road Project and to find out the attitudes of employees on the use of personal protective equipment in the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road section 4. The sample were employees of PT. Wijaya Karya at the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road Project totaled 51 respondents. The data collection technique used in this study was the method with 2 variables, namely the K3 analysis variable and the attitude variable using APD. The results of the questionnaire data analysis was distributed Occupational Safety and Health and the attitude of the use of Personal Protective Equipment are running well. PT. Wijaya Karya has applied K3 knowledge, OSH planning, K3 application, Knowledge of PPE, availability of PPE, attitude of PPE use, and Criteria for PPE in the majority of employees stating that PT. Wijaya Karya has implemented all the elements in this matter. Can be proven by the majority of respondents stating the management has an OSH supervisor, conducts K3 guidance, and installed K3 signs in their place.
