TA PENGARUH BESAR BUTIR KACA LOLOS AYAKAN NO.50 TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BETON TUGAS AKHIR

Abstract

Concrete has a specific behavior having a tensile strength that is smaller than the compressive strength. So the concrete material is generally combined with other materials having big tensile strength. The chemical elements resentin the glass are partly the same as those in the cement, so when the glass is creshed into granules, it can serve as a filler, because the percentage of silica content (SiO₂), Na₂O and CaOon the glass is big enough, more than 70%

            The aim of the research is to uses know the influence of glass grain to the strength on the concrete. This study uses concrete mix design method, Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 03-2834-2000). This research is made as 27 samples, and the addition of glass granules with variations of 0%, 2% and 5% from the weight of the cement.

            Compressive strength of concrete at 7 days BK 2% and BK 5% decreased by 11,46%and 6,25% from BN 0%. Compressive strength of concrete at 14 days BK 2% ans BK 5% increased by 7,20% and 19,25% from BN 0%. Compressive strenht of concrete at 28 days BK 2% and BK 5% increased by 5,00% and 17,39 fromBN0%.
