Abstract

Concrete is a construction that has the ability to withstand compressive strength but low concrete against tensile strength. To increase strength of concrete, it can be mixed with other materials. In this study to increase compressive strength concrete using limestone as normal added concrete because it has the same elements as cement. The purpose of this study to determine the effect limestone on compressive strength concrete in normal concrete with different concrete variations and age. In this study coarse aggregate used was Palu gravel, fine aggregate using Samboja sand and using added material namely limestone powder originating from North Paser Sharpeners. Variations concrete used Original Concrete (BO) 0%, Concrete (BG) 5%, Concrete (BG) 10% and Concrete (BG) 15% the weight of cement ages 7.14 and 28 days. maximum compressive strength concrete at the age 7 days at 10% BG is 16,740 MPa and minimum compressive strength at 5% BG of 13,037 MPa. maximum compressive strength at the age 14 days at BO 22,222 MPa, BG 5% minimum compressive strength at BG 15% is 11,555 MPa. maximum compressive strength at the age of 28 days at 10% BG is 20,741 MPa and the minimum compressive strength at BO is 12,889 MPa
