Abstract

Parking is a immovable state of a temporary vehicle. Parking is a problem that is often found in the world of transportation. Parking problems are also one of the problems in the campus environment. The increase in the number of students every year affects the increase in the number of motorized vehicle users which raises problems including the phenomenon of parking on the roadside. The purpose of this study was to analyze parking lot requirements to determine parking characteristics as well as 2-wheeled parking space units in the parking area of ​​Balikpapan State Polytechnic students.

The method used in this study is to make direct observations in the field to obtain data on the number of vehicles entering and leaving the parking area. This reesearch was carried out on the parking doors of 2 wheeled vehchiles on door 1, door 2, door 3, door 4, door 5, door 6 and door 7 on Monday, Wednesday adn Friday. From the data obtained volume, accumulation, duration, capacity, availability, and parking turnover rates.
