Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the bearing capacity of the pole analytically with the results of a dynamic test, namely the pile driving analyzer (PDA) obtained in the field. Analytically, the calculation of bearing capacity of pile foundation is done by manual analysis using the method of Alpha, U.S Army Corps, and Tomlinson based on the correlation of data from the results of testing the Standard Penetration Test (SPT) in field. The calculation is carried out at 3 points, namely Abutment 1 (A1), Pillar 1 (P1), and Abutment 2 (A2) in the overpass project of Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll in Section 1 Km 13, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan. From the results of manual calculations, it can be concluded that the Tomlinson method has the closest value compared to other methods verified by PDA testing. Qu value of 340.33 tons compared to 417 tons at point A1, at P1 Qu point of 340.33 tons compared to 471 tons, and at A2 point Qu was 265.94 tons compared to 469 tons.
