Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the occupational safety and health management system for heavy equipment operators in the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road construction segment V and also to find out how the influence of the implementation of the K3 management system on the machine performance of operators.


The sample in this study were all employees of BUCG on the construction project of Balikpapan Samarinda toll road in the Vyang segment totaling 30 respondents. The data collection technique used in this study was the questionnaire/questionnaire method.


From the results of the questionnaire data analysis that has been disseminated it is known that the implementation of workplace safety and health management system for heavy equipment operators in the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road construction segment V is running well. The majority of heavy equipment operators stated that the management had implemented all the elements in the K3 management system on this project. This can be proven by the results of the questionnaire distributed, knowledge percentage of K3 96.57%, K3 training 88.75%,  application of K3 93%,  performance of the operator of the equipment 97.25%.
