Abstract

Abstract


The steel profile that weighs relatively lighter is used to a roof truss in length  as  a workshop building. The types of profiles commonly used for frames are double elbow horses, profile WF and castellated beam. The purpose of this research  is to compare the dimension of each profile and  the need of the horses material.


Span of the steel frame analysed  along 15 m uses bolt 16 mm, 19 mm dan 22 mm. By utilizing software SAP 2000 to get the stem style. The calculation of the cost based on profile material needs and connection.    


From the calculation results obtained dimension as ⌋⌊ 55.55.10 60.60.8 60.60.10,   profile WF 300.200.8.12, and profile hexagonal castellated beam 375.150.6,5.9. The weight of each profile is 516.777 kg, 772.48 kg dan 499.12 kg for double elbow horses, profile WF and profile hexagonal castellated beam. The cost required is Rp 8,347,687 for double elbow horses,  Rp 9,808,848 for profile WF and Rp 6,364,512 for profile hexagonal castellated beam.
