Abstract

In general, every development work in the construction field is always related to earthwork problems. Small-scale earthworks are often done manually or by using human labor. if the scale of work is large enough and requires speed in carry out work, then the earthwork is done in a using mechanical equipment in this case is heavy equipment. The purpose of this study is to find out the productivity of the machine in the excavation work and to find out the time and costs involved in using the heavy equipment. By calculating the productivity of each tool, it is obtained by using 1 unit of excavator, 2 units of dump truck and 1 unit of bulldozer with the required processing time is 9 days, so that the heavy equipment needed is 4 units of 3 types of heavy equipment used. From the calculation of the cost of using the tool, the costs for 1 Excavator are Rp. 4,965,646, 2 Dump Truck units are Rp. 12,446,336, and 1 Bulldozer is Rp. 6,445,527, so the total cost for the three tools the daily weight is around Rp. 23,867,509. and for the total rental cost in 9 days amounting to Rp 214,807,581.
